公司派我出差，巧遇萬聖節。
我是梅麗玲（1996年5AH2)，已婚並育有一名與我同月同日生的女兒，她是我2005年收獲最貴重的生日禮物。
我在中五後與同窗好友七姐妹吳莉萍，張寧玲，黃翠莉，劉春燕，洪淑萍分開，僅和謝兩真兩姐妹到吉隆坡拉曼學院，其他姐妹則在檳城，當時只能在一年一度的新年相聚。
在拉曼求學其間，我與安婷，淑芝和志聰同系，4年後到英國沙飛參與夏日課程，跟進3個月，當時有幸與其他吉華生團聚，是最開心的日子了。
男友在我完成課程後，飛到英國與我同遊，較後我們便回國。我在北海工作，一做就做了3年，從採購員開始至升上了program(CS lead)，這是一項很有挑戰性的工作。
很久都沒有同學們的消息了，很高興看見這個網站，讓我們有再聯絡的機會。
以上的照片攝於2004年10月，美國三翻四搞，萬聖節（10月31日），當時公司派我出差。
我第一次真正看見人們慶祝萬聖節，也第一次深入地感受異國文化，他們在當天盡興裝飾家里，小孩大人都扮鬼扮妖，非常漂亮，希望可與你們分享。
小时候，常看到电视上老外穿着古里古怪，扮鬼扮马，不知庆祝什么。直到长大些，才了解到原来有 “万圣节” 的存在。與华人的”鬼节”不同，外国人在万圣节時，会把屋里屋外布置一翻，摆放南瓜 (万圣节的像征)，鬼公仔，人骨头…….就是要那几分邪气，到处也可见到南瓜雕塑比赛。
万圣节当天，男女老少都穿上个自所准备的特別服装，非常古怪。有vampire look，蜜蜂，Harry Porter，巫婆，戏剧人物等等。
小孩子们会先聚集在一起，然后到邻居家去敲门，然后说“Trick & Treat ！”大多数人家都会准备很多糖果派给那些到访的小朋友。听朋友说有时還花上几百块钱买糖果都不够派，因为有些小孩子们是一整辆巴士去的，到那些高级住宅区去拜访。
大人们都会忙于打扮自己，出席大人的Halloween Party去，有些地方甚至封路，来一个 street party。因为近年来太多刑事案发生，政府也就发了道”不准在露天喝酒”的条律。
我想，马来西亚虽没有类似的庆祝，但相信一些pub也有Halloween的怖置以满足在这儿逗留的外国游客吧！在此也祝大家Happy Belated Halloween 万圣节快乐！

Seok Peng and Lin Ling in Penang but never meet them before......
i hope can meet up with Miao next 2 week 11/20 as noticed she will going back to AS.
